Power Bi DAX Program

Why Learn DAX in Power BI ( & Excel )

Companies are generating more and more data every day. Skills in data analysis, Business Intelligence / Business Analytics are highly in demand in today’s job market. In this course, you will learn how to use DAX to Analyze, find Patterns and Trend in your Data using Power BI.

In this course together, we will go over business scenarios where you will learn, how to use advanced / complex DAX calculations further to derive more insights from data.

What will you Learn in the DAX Workshop ?

In the first session of the program, we discuss about Data Modelling, regarding Relationship’s between Tables, and how information flows in different directions.

In the next session, we start with DAX

We start right from the Basics of DAX, understanding FILTER CONTEXT, CURRENT ROW CONTEXT, CONTEXT Transition, ALL, FILTER, RELATEDTABLE, CALCULATE, EARLIER, Relationships and much more.

How to Evaluate a DAX statement’s under different scenario’s, depending on your Data Model.

In the last phase of this course, you will learn about Time Intelligence and Date Tables. We will look at expressions such as TOTALYTD, SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR, DATESADD, DATESBETWEEN, CALENDERAUTO, and we will explore how many of these functions work using CALCULATE

After we complete learning DAX, we venture into Case Studies & Business Scenario’s, how DAX can be implemented in real business scenario’s

Is DAX Available in EXCEL ?… YES!!

Which means, this course would give you a “DOUBLE Benefit”. You would upgrade your existing knowledge in EXCEL + Learn to write DAX formula’s

If DAX in EXCEL sounds interesting, checkout our BLOG, in which we explain about how to write DAX in EXCEL

Part 1

Data Modelling

You need to define relationships between your Tables, under Excel, this is done under Power Pivot & Under Power Bi ( Model View ) DAX, flows through your relationships, unless you haven’t defined them properly

Part 2

Dax Start learning the Core Concepts of Dax.

The Evaluation Context, Row Context, Filter Context, Context Transition, and additional Filter context being using while creating a Calculated Column or Measure

Part 3

Case Studies Working on Business Scenario’s / Practical Problem’s using DAX to solve them

Part 4

Post Program Every Participant would be given a 2 Hour 1:1 Session to discuss DAX on their DATA, Free Consultation
